Getting Started: Calibrate Your Monitor

Getting Started: Part – 4

Calibrate Your Monitor

One of the first steps you should take as a beginner photographer is to calibrate your monitor. Monitor calibration will ensure that you create vibrant, high-quality images across all your devices not just the computer that you are processing your photos on. For example this breath taking image from Yellowstone National Park should have vivid colors when viewed on a laptop, cell phone or when printed with a wide gamut high quality printer to hang on your wall.

About Author Jay Patel

I could startoff like this – “Seeds of Jay Patel’s appreciation for beautiful places were planted early in his childhood….” but it would get boring really fast. I will just sum it up and say that I am a Landscape and Wilderness Photographer who loves to capture dramatic light. My photographs have been published in various magazines, calendars and advertising materials throughout the world.
