Tips for Finding Macro Subjects

When I first started photography, I used to get out of the car, take a quick look, and make up my mind whether or not the place was worth shooting. By doing this, I was denying myself some of the most interesting Macro subject in the area. These days when I arrive at a location, I spend quite a bit of time trying to get familiar with the terrain and subject matter and by doing this, I am often rewarded with some awesome macro shots.

Here are few example of the photos we came away with because we spent time observing what to photograph.

About Author Jay Patel

I could startoff like this – “Seeds of Jay Patel’s appreciation for beautiful places were planted early in his childhood….” but it would get boring really fast. I will just sum it up and say that I am a Landscape and Wilderness Photographer who loves to capture dramatic light. My photographs have been published in various magazines, calendars and advertising materials throughout the world.
