Living in North Dakota, the opportunities for photography classes are limited. Finding an affordable, online class was the perfect solution. I learn a lot during the online class and I look forward to another online class soon Visual Wilderness!
Alan Shaprio‘s Online class well paced and well planned class flew by. It was wonderful to see Alan work and create and explain his process. I feel that my money was well spent.
Alan Shapiro is a phenomenal photographer and artist. His thought process and techniques are enlightening and easy to understand.
I loved Alan Shapiro‘s class! It was really helpful just to see the little tips and tricks he uses with his still life photography. While technical classes are incredibly helpful, I really enjoyed that he presented the artistic side and the simplified piece. The relaxed and interactive flow of the class was really great, much more like a conversation than a lecture which made it that much more fantastic!
Alan Shapiro’s presentation was very informative. His combination of several texture layers certainly gives painterly results.
Alan Shapiro is extremely generous in sharing his knowledge. I learned so much! From equipment suggestions to flower sources, to work process, I came away with dozens of new ideas I can’t wait to try. Please have him back on Visual Wilderness Online Classes.
Visual Wilderness Online Classes offered a great learning experience for me. I have been trying to get to the next level in my post-processing and this really helped. It opened up many new doors for me and challenges me to many new creative possibilities.
I enjoyed the class immensely and am eager for further on line classes with Alan Shapiro on Visual Wilderness.
I thoroughly enjoyed both of my Visual Wilderness Online Classes. They opened a new horizon for me and built on the knowledge I already have. I’m glad I have access to them for a year as I still have much to absorb…doesn’t happen all at once :)))
Alan Shapiro‘s work is inspirational. And aspirational. He is a dynamic, fascinating presenter. He is very generous with explaining how to set up the home studio, what lighting to use and why, product and resource lists. And it’s fun while you are learning! Bingo!
Alan loves to roam around Museums and became enamored with the still lives and portraits of the Old World Masters. Beyond the subject matter, he became fascinated with the beauty, colors and textures he found studying the aged canvases. This led him to create his own brand of very unique Photoshop textures. He uses these texture to recreate these masterpieces with his images that he has been shooting over more than a decade.
Here are some sample images created using the textures from the starter pack:
