Landscape Photography from National Parks

National Parks – America’s Best Idea

September 1, 2016/in Blog /by Jay Patel

As a landscape photographer, I have  no problem with the statement National parks are one of America’s best ideas. I started my photography career in Yosemite National Park with a point-n-shoot camera and absolutely no idea of how to take photos. In the early days, I was often disappointed from the results of the camera. What kept me going was the inspiration offered by the beauty and grandeur of the national parks and the experience of being out in pristine wilderness areas.

Over the last 100 years, national parks have been inspiring amateur photographers and nature lover from all over the world. Besides offering inspiration, these parks offer very tangible benefits including preserving bio-diversity, economic resources, education, and personal health and well-being.

So, here are few images that showcase the sheer beauty of our national parks. I hope they inspire you to go outside and play… and to help preserve these natural treasures for generations to come. If you are travelling to National Park check out Patrica Davidson’s Tips for Photographing the National Parks.

About Author Jay Patel

I could startoff like this – “Seeds of Jay Patel’s appreciation for beautiful places were planted early in his childhood….” but it would get boring really fast. I will just sum it up and say that I am a Landscape and Wilderness Photographer who loves to capture dramatic light. My photographs have been published in various magazines, calendars and advertising materials throughout the world.

All-in-all, The Essential Filters Course along with the others in this series, are the most informative and easy to learn instruction I have taken. I am a complete fan of Jay and Varina and love their instructions.
Joe HudspethPrineville, Oregon
Essential Filters Course would have saved me from frustrating photos that were a result of using filters wrong or not understanding when and how to use them.  Another great tutorial series from Jay & Varina.
