Fill Light with a Smart Phone
Go ahead and tell me I’m doing it wrong. :)
I used my smart phone to add fill lighting.
This is a studio shot I took with the help of my smart phone. I had a single diffused light aimed at my flower, but I wanted to fill in the shadows a bit. I could have brought another light over, or used a reflector… but the equipment was in use by another photographer. So, I pulled out my smart phone and turned it on. I adjusted the brightness of the screen until its soft light was just what I wanted.

Of course, there are those who would insist that I did it wrong. I should have used a reflector…. or a flash… or hot lights…. or light from a window. Heck… maybe I should have used phosphorescent jellyfish to provide natural light. I guess my point is simple. Use what you have, and enjoy what you’re doing. Enough said.
