Wildlife Photography

As some point, a nature or landscape photographer takes their first wildlife image. It could be puffins on the coast of Iceland, a guanaco grazing in Patagonia, or a cardinal in your own backyard.  At that point, the challenge of capturing a mesmerizing and well composed animal image is realized.

Along with photography skills, wildlife photography often requires the knowledge of the behavior for both animals and birds. Often, animals and birds are difficult to approach.  Therefore, the knowledge to predict their actions along with specialized equipment can yield amazing images.

As photographers develop their bird photography or wildlife photography skills, they learn how to include the landscape. Similarly, they understand how to evoke emotion and feeling in the image. Additionally, they study how different lighting can impact the mood. They learn how changing shutter speed or aperture can deliver a creative and captivating wildlife photo.

From technical camera settings to essential tips on composition, our professionals at Visual Wilderness offer their expertise. Our articles and tutorials show how to capture the most stunning animal photography images.
